Overcoming Challenges of Integrating and engaging English as a Second Language (ESL) Students in the Classroom series
Integrating and teaching ESL students from different language backgrounds can be very challenging. Faculty are invited to attend roundtable discussions to share personal experiences and examine successful classroom pedagogy in working with ESL students. Topics will include: language barriers, cultural adjustments, plagiarism, academic performance, pedagogical backgrounds – all which help integrate and engage ESL students in the classroom. Facilitated by the Intercultural Program. Lunch will be provided.
