The public is invited to join us in celebrating the traditional Eastern Slavic folk holiday called "Maslenitsa". Also known as "pancake week" or "butter week", this popular festival is usually celebrated during the last week of February, and it is filled with colorful rites, dances, songs, games, and fairs. The goal of this Maslenitsa celebration is to ring in the passing of winter and the beginning of spring. Participants will get to enjoy a lively evening that includes a variety of Blinis (pancakes) and tea, games, music and dances, and arts and crafts.
This event is free and open to the public.
