The Northwest College Music Department hosts the 45th Annual Showalter Music Festival for brass, woodwind, percussion, guitar, piano, violin and voice students in grades five through eight. The festival is named in memory of Victor Showalter, a former music professor at NWC, who started the tradition in 1975.
Outstanding performers from the festival will present a free concert at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, in the Nelson Performing Arts Center Auditorium at Northwest College in Powell.
