Good morning Students,
We were notified yesterday afternoon that a member of our campus community tested positive for COVID. As with the previous case, we have taken the necessary precautions to eliminate any spread of the virus to the campus and the community.
As cases continue to occur in our local area (Powell, Cody, and the Big Horn Basin), the chances of additional cases on campus are likely to occur. As you know, Northwest College takes the health and safety of employees, students, and the community very seriously and we are working closely with Public Heath to evaluate each situation and respond accordingly.
Student Success Center and Human Resources staff are utilizing the COVID Connection process and following NWC health and safety protocols to notify relevant parties for support services. If you are notified, please remember to keep all individual health information confidential. We will continue working closely with Park County Health officials on this and any other COVID cases that may occur.
Remember to do your daily health screening and if you are not feeling well, stay home or in your room. Masks covering your mouth and nose are required on campus at all times when you are indoors except when you are alone in your residence hall room. Outdoors you may remove your mask only when you are able to social distance. Please note this requirement is more rigorous than the Governor’s orders.
Thank you for all that you are doing to keep our campus safe. Through your diligent efforts to follow our COVID protocols, we will continue to ensure that the College will stay open throughout semester.
Have a good weekend. Stay safe.
