As Northwest College continues to monitor the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the United States, know that the health and safety of our students, employees and community members are top of mind. We’ve activated our Pandemic Response team and are actively working with Park County Public Health, local healthcare providers, and local government officials to make sure we can provide you with up-to-date information as quickly as possible.
You may have seen news about other colleges and universities in the United States closing campuses and converting to online courses so that student academics may continue unimpeded. Northwest College remains open and operational at this time. We will let you know as soon as possible if that changes and what that could mean for you as an NWC employee. Watch for important NWC communications about Coronavirus (COVID-19) in your email inbox, on the NWC website at https://nwc.edu and/or from the college's Trapper Alert (RAVE) emergency notification system (if the latter becomes applicable). For Trapper Alerts, please check your MyNWC account at https://nwc.edu/mynwc to make sure your phone number is up to date. If you previously opted out of these alerts, you can opt back in at any time at https://my.nwc.edu/Pages/rave.aspx (login required).
For now, please continue to monitor your email inbox for information regarding NWC’s planning and contingencies for employees. We have also created an NWC Coronavirus (COVID-19) website at https://nwc.edu/covid-19 that will be a hub of important information and communications about this emergent situation as it unfolds. Northwest College utilizes the Incident Command System (ICS) and President Hicswa has assigned Lisa Watson as the Incident Commander for COVID-19.
